Camp HLC takes place in Massachusetts

Registration for Camp HLC in Massachusetts progressed well. The Camp HLC page will provide you with detailed information about this camp.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call or email us.  Our phone number and email address can be found at the bottom of each page.  Thank you for visiting us and we hope to see you in Massachusetts.

Children spent an amazing week filled with smiles and new friends at the beautiful Flat Rock River YMCA in Indiana.  We are so grateful to LIDS, ALSA of Indiana, and the Zoellner family for all their support in making this camp such an awesome experience for our children. The following WishTV segment will highlight the success of Camp HLC in Indiana.

We are so glad that many people have reached out to us since the airing of the NBC Today Show.  Some people contacted us only moments after the segment ended.  We look forward to partnering with you to help our children push forward.  They are our priority.

May was a month for loads of fun, saying hello again to friends we met at prior HLC Camps and saying hello to new friends at this year's first HLC Camp held at the Fairview Lakes YMCA located in Stillwater, NJ.

Hope Loves Company was privileged this month to have the NBC Today Show with us on Saturday, filming our activities in order to broaden ALS awareness nationally.  The segment of the show should be final at the end of the month.

Meet Olly!

Olly Clabburn is a PhD student at Edge Hill University and has a specific research interest in young people who help care for family members with MND, and also those that are bereaved due to the disease. He is investigating the use of purposefully recorded digital legacies with people who are affected by MND. This means people living with the disease will record a selection of videos specifically for children in their family regarding memories, accomplishments and personal messages.  Learn more about his research and how you can participate here.

Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tarditi and the STG Foundation for granting HLC $10,000! The Sarah Tarditi Grant was established in loving memory of Sarah, the daughter of Jack and Barbara Tarditi of Haddonfield, who lost her battle with Leukemia in 2007 at the age of 31.

HLC has been so lucky to be the NJASC charity of the year! Our staff has been speaking all over the state and getting cheered on by the leaders of tomorrow and today!  The award has taken HLC to Bordentown,  North Hunterdon,  Delaware Township, Olson Middle School, Holy Cross High School, South Brunswick, and many more!  Look for us at Marlton Middle School, Parsippany, Nutley and Pohatcong in March and April!

Our amazing ambassador, Mackenzie Anderson graduated high school a few months early.  Mackenzie wanted to share the moment with her mother, Susan, who is in the late stages of ALS.  In addition to her internships with HLC and the ALS Association, she is caption of the basketball team, President of her school's DECA chapter, President of Community Warriors (a community service club), and Publicity Coordinator of Spanish National Honor Society. Congratulations, Mackenzie! We know you will do incredible things!  Please see the video here

Thanks Noto Insurance for continually cheering on the mission of HLC! The team will feature HLC in their upcoming edition of “Our Hometown,” a monthly online magazine published by the Noto team. Read more here.

HLC received a total of  $9,000 from the Lids' Foundation to bring Camp HLC to  Flat Rock YMCA in Indiana!  This grant would not have been possible without the Zoellner family and their interest and support of Hope Loves Company!  We can't wait to offer this amazing WEEK of camp FREE to our children. The Flat Rock YMCA is inviting HLC children to enjoy a week of camp at their beautiful facility. Stay tuned for registration details.
